We will be hosting the Senior High District Tournament next week (February 13th -17th). Admission to the games will be $3.00 for students and $4.00 for adults. Per Conference bylaws ONLY AAA passes will be accepted at the gate. No other passes will be accepted (i.e. staff, athletic, senior citizen, VIP).

Valentine’s Day Deliveries Tuesday, February 14th: All deliveries will be made to the library and must be received no later than 2:00. Students will be called during 7th hour to pick up their deliveries. Students who leave campus throughout the day for BRTC classes should check in with the library before they leave and it is also suggested they check with the library around 2:30 if they are expecting a delivery.

Attention Parents & Students: There are to be no breakable items, oversized items or balloons on the school buses. Please keep this in mind when sending Valentine's Day items to your student. Your student's safety is our first priority.... Tracy Ingram, Transportation Director.

Make A Wish Fundraiser- We are raising money for our local Make A Wish chapter sponsored by the Key Club. Students and staff may purchase Stars for $1. See the nurse if you are interested.

REMINDER: Students are to sign in and out of the office when they come onto and leave campus any time other than the first bell at 7:50 a.m. Students who have classes on the BRTC campus are to sign in and out at the office according to their schedule.

GENERAL NEWS

Miss Redskin Pageant will be Saturday, February 18th at 1:00 in the PJHS gym. Applications are available in the office and are due Monday, February 13th. Forms and money should be turned into your school office or Mrs. Nead. Please note the start time is 1 p.m.; therefore, the pageant should be over around 4-4:30 p.m.

Starburst Variety show will be March 13th and 14th. If you want to participate, get your act TOGETHER and TRY-OUT! Auditions will be at PJHS for the show are as follows: Feb 27th- vocal/singing acts

Feb 28th- dance acts/other variety acts

ACTS must have music. If you are singing, you must have the instrumental version of music. Acts should be well rehearsed and prepared for the audition (stage ready).

Starburst NIGHT performances will be Monday March 13th 6-9pm @ MD Williams. Cost for admission the show is $2 for students and $4 for adults. PHS- students will attend Starburst at 8:30 am on Tuesday, March 14th. Admission is $1. PJHS students will attend Starburst at 1:00 Tuesday March 14th Admission is $1.

Out of School Obsessions

YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE! Yearbooks will be $40.00, personalization $5.00 (monogram and crests will still be available online only), and icons $3.00 each. The LAST DAY to PRE-ORDER YEARBOOK and personalization is FEB. 22 (Wednesday).

Applications are being accepted for the St. Bernards Medical Center Jr. Volunteer Program. The program allows students (ages 15 – 18) an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital setting where they will explore careers and gain experience in helping others. Participants will gain hands on experience in surgery, laboratory, nursing, radiology, rehabilitative services, exercise science, pharmacy and more! It will be a three-week session where we will accept 15 students into the program. The session will be held from July 7th-28th. Applications may be picked up in the nurse's office. They are due by Friday, May 5th.

HISTORY CLUB will meet on Monday during lunch.

FFA members on AG Mechanics & Electricity teams meet Tuesdays & Thursdays with Mr. Hogan @ 3:30

NHS will meet every Tuesday @12:20 to discuss fundraising and activities.

Anyone interested in Chess Club see Mrs. Miller on Wednesdays. Chess practice will be Wednesdays at noon in her room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring your lunch.

KEY CLUB will meet every Wednesday in Mr. James’ room at lunch

DRAMA CLUB MEETING DURING LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY

Mr. Miller will be offering tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school or directly after school. Please make sure to let him know if you will be attending. Students can also stop by his room during 4th hour, if needed.

Mrs. Henderson will be offering tutoring at 7:00 a.m. in her classroom on TUESDAYS. She will have a chrome cart available.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

THURSDAY

Chase Smith will be signing with Williams Baptist College @ 10:00 in the PHS gym. The swim team are to be released at 9:55 to attend.

RAFFLE TICKETS FOR MINI IPAD FOR PROJECT GRADUATION: See Mrs. Kim to pick up raffle tickets. If you sell 20 tickets you will receive $10 incentive money for the night of Project Graduation.

There is a new Senior List posted on the bulletin board across from the office. PLEASE CHECK it to be sure your name is spelled correctly. This is how it will be listed on your diploma.
