Congratulations to FFA Members who attended the Beebe Ag Day Judging Contest! Sarah Hodge, Clara Luttrell & Destiney Smith - 25th in Livestock… Sarah Brown - 8th in Horse… Blain Huddleston, Jacob Endicott, Bradley Clark & Dustin Knoche - 19th in Poultry… McKayla Sorg, Mikayla Hibbard, Morgan Sanders - 4th in Vet Science… Jessica Green, Gabby Archer, & Brooklyn Roberts - 17th in Milk Quality.

There are a few basketball district tournament shirts left...sizes small, large and xlarge… $10 each. Please see Monica Brewington at MD Williams.

Starburst Variety show will be March 13th and 14th. If you want to participate, get your act TOGETHER and TRY-OUT! Auditions will be at PJHS and are as follows: Feb 27th- vocal/singing acts

Feb 28th- dance acts/other variety acts

Starburst NIGHT performances will be Monday March 13th 6-9pm @ MD Williams. Cost for admission the show is $2 for students and $4 for adults. PHS- students will attend Starburst at 8:30 am on Tuesday, March 14th. Admission is $1. PJHS students will attend Starburst at 1:00. Admission is $1.

Jammin In The Jungle Basketball Tournament March 31st thru April 1st

Applications are being accepted for the St. Bernards Medical Center Jr. Volunteer Program. The program allows students (ages 15 – 18) an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital setting where they will explore careers and gain experience in helping others. Participants will gain hands on experience in surgery, laboratory, nursing, radiology, rehabilitative services, exercise science, pharmacy and more! It will be a three-week session where we will accept 15 students into the program. The session will be held from July 7th-28th. Applications may be picked up in the nurse's office. They are due by Friday, May 5th.

HISTORY CLUB will meet on Mondays during lunch.

FFA members on AG Mechanics & Electricity teams meet Tuesdays & Thursdays with Mr. Hogan @ 3:30

NHS will meet every Tuesday @12:20 to discuss fundraising and activities.

Anyone interested in Chess Club see Mrs. Miller on Wednesdays. Chess practice will be Wednesdays at noon in her room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring your lunch.

KEY CLUB will meet every Wednesday in Mr. James’ room at lunch

DRAMA CLUB MEETING DURING LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY

Mr. Miller will be offering tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school or directly after school. Please make sure to let him know if you will be attending. Students can also stop by his room during 4th hour, if needed.

Mrs. Henderson will be offering tutoring at 7:00 a.m. in her classroom on TUESDAYS. She will have a chrome cart available.

REMINDER: Students are to sign in and out of the office when they come onto and leave campus any time other than the first bell at 7:50 a.m. Students who have classes on the BRTC campus are to sign in and out at the office according to their schedule.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

TUESDAY

ACT on campus (Junior Class) - Wear your college T-shirt today! Testing will begin at the beginning of 1st hour. GO DIRECTLY to your assigned testing room. Class Rosters with testing rooms will be posted on the office window.

FFA Officer Meeting at 12:10 to discuss the upcoming events.

Seniors are reminded that the Scholarship Application for BRTC is due in Ashley Conrey's office Wednesday, March 1st. Those needing Mrs. Hogan’s signature will need to see her Tuesday afternoon as she will be in a meeting Wednesday and testing Tuesday morning.

A LIMITED number of 2017 YEARBOOKS were ordered extra for those who missed the deadline. They CANNOT be personalized. They are $45.00. Once they are gone, there will be no more.

Any student interested in learning to blacksmith or metal art, FFA will host meetings at lunch in the agri building Wednesday, bring your lunch all students are welcome FFA member or not...,

The Pocahontas FFA CDE teams will be competing at the Logan Country Judging Contest on

ALL STUDENTS: The Northeast Arkansas Wounded Warriors Group is offering a $1000 scholarship this spring - the application can be found on their facebook page. Any student that is the child, spouse, sibling, or grandchild of a veteran and receives college credit may apply. Deadline for applying is April 7th.

RAFFLE TICKETS FOR MINI IPAD FOR PROJECT GRADUATION: See Mrs. Kim to pick up raffle tickets. If you sell 20 tickets you will receive $10 incentive money for the night of Project Graduation.

There is a new Senior List posted on the bulletin board across from the office. PLEASE CHECK it to be sure your name is spelled correctly. This is how it will be listed on your diploma.
