Student council is sponsoring Valentine's Cards for people in nursing homes. We will have all of the supplies needed to create cards to brighten the residents' day but we need YOU to come make a card! The card making station will be set up in the Jr. High gym at lunch. 8th grade will be able to come make cards on Monday, Februrary 8.
7th and 9th grades will be able to make cards on Tuesday, February 9.
PJHS has the following delivery scheduled for Valentine Day Deliveries: PJHS will accept deliveries between 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12th. Deliveries to students will not be made until after 2:00 p.m. this day. Also, please be reminded of building and bus policies regarding balloons or large items.
Valentines Day is getting close! Send your "Special Person" a Singing Valentine on Friday, Feb. 12th! The PHS and PJHS Choirs will be singing the "Valograms" at PJHS in the morning, and at PHS after lunch! Get your order form to Coach Guess soon! Order forms are also in the PJHS office. Please give the form to Coach Guess. Price is $12 for a song, Valentine card, and a small box of chocolates.
Club Pictures: The schedule for Club pictures will be outside of the library. Club pictures will be in the Jr. High Gym and will be taken at 12:10. If you are late, you will not be in the picture.
FFA: There will be no FFA Committee meetings this week. All CDE practices will take place this week.
(Last week): PHS Student Ambassadors of Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, Ian Allred, Noah Bandy, Braden Lindner, Ty McDonnough, Lacey Moore and Adrian Rutter are collecting donations on behalf of Friends of Pocahontas Animal Control (FOPAC). Please help by bringing in donations of dog food, cat food, litter, collars, blankets, treats etc. for our four legged friends. FOPAC helps animals that are abandoned. They find rescue, foster parents, adoptive parents and vet the animals. Collection boxes are located in front of each Pocahontas School Office. Thank you in advance for your support.

The Anti-Bullying Club (or ABC) will be meeting this Friday at 12:10 in Mr. Duggins' Room. The goal of the Anti-Bullying Club is to educate about the harmful effects of bullying and to learn how to prevent bullying. Everyone is welcome to attend.
National Honor Society and Student Council Club Pictures
Students who were given AIP form regarding remediation: the deadline to return the form, signed by parent/guardian, and receive a tardy pass is today.

Feb. 15th: Pocahontas Public Schools will not be in session on Monday, February 15, 2016. Schools will be closed in observance of Presidents' Day. Pocahontas Public Schools will resume the regular schedule on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 for all students.
