General:

Mrs. Massey will not be tutoring this week

ALL Redskin Cheerleaders need to have uniforms turned in by Friday March 18th. You must take your uniforms to Mrs. Nead personally and sign paperwork that they are turned in. DO NOT leave them in the office.

REDSKIN CHEERLEADING TRY-OUTS are April 29th. Practices begin April 14th. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE WITHOUT A PHYSICAL. Physicals will be given April 13th. See Mrs. Nead for a physical form. Anyone interested in trying out for REDSKIN CHEERLEADING should meet on Mrs. Nead's classroom Wednesday, March 16th, at lunch.

Students are not allowed to wear hats of any type in the school buildings.

Monday:

Pocahontas Redskins Baseball vs. Valley View (JV) Home @ 4:30. We will make a decision at lunch as to whether the field will be playable for this afternoon's baseball game.

UCA will have a wind ensemble on campus today playing for our Sr. High band 7th period in our gym. 7th and 8th grade band students are also invited. We will dismiss them via all call. However, if they need to stay in class, you may keep them.

Tuesday:

We will be attending STARBURST in the MD WIlliams gym on Tuesday, March 15th @ 1:00 p.m. The cost of attending the performance is $1. If you plan to attend the performance, please bring money. Those not attending will go to study hall. MONEY WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE DOOR

The NIGHT performance of Starburst is Tuesday March 15 at 6pm in MD WILLIAMS GYM. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for students. Please come and see our amazing talent at Pocahontas School District!

Lady Redskin Softball vs. Cave City (DH) Home @ 4:00. Please release the players at 3:00 p.m.

Any student in grade 8 - 11 who is interested in being on the golf team next year, please meet with Coach Hausman at 12:15 p.m. This meeting will take place in Coach Hausman's room in the Junior High - 8th grade hall.

Pocahontas Public Schools will conduct parent/teacher conferences for students, in grades K-6 only, on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Parents are encouraged to meet with their child's teacher(s) between the hours of 3:30 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. Because of the conferences, school will be dismissed early for all students on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Alma Spikes Elementary walkers will be dismissed at 1:55 p.m. and bus students at 2:10 p.m. All other students in grades 3-12 will be dismissed at 2:25 p.m. Lunches will be served.

March 17 - 24 - PHS Band Orlando Trip (Students will depart at 6:00 p.m. )

NJHS dues for invitees must be received by Mrs. Blanchard or Mrs. Murray by March 18.

The Randolph Country Spring Livestock Show Contest will be March 19th at 5:00 PM at the Randolph Country Fairgrounds.

March 21st - 25th: Spring Break - Pocahontas Public Schools will be closed for Spring Break Monday, March 21 2016 through Friday, March 25, 2016. Pocahontas Public Schools will resume the regular schedule on Monday, March 28, 2016 for all students.
