SENIOR REMINDER: Please remember to return all classroom books and materials and library books. If you owe lunch charges, library dues, Josten’s order or sitting fees please get those paid as soon as possible. Also be sure to clean out your locker before you leave.

Josten’s Senior Orders (cap & gown/announcements) are in the office - Balances must be paid in full before pickup.

Class officer petitions are available to any student who wishes to run for office. The forms are due back to Mr. Phelps no later than noon on Wednesday May 4. Elections will be held Friday May 6.

Juniors please check your mailing address in your HAC account. There will be a post card mailed out this summer for your senior picture with date and time. The dates for senior pictures will be July 26 and 27.

If you have a correction for your address, please contact the office.

Driver's Education Class: Driver's Ed will be offered at PJHS on May 26th, 27th, 31st, June 1st and 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (one hour break for lunch - lunch is not provided). Students will earn 0.5 elective Credit upon completion of class. In order to be placed on the list for driver's ed a student must have their Driver's Permit and a check in the amount of $200.00 (check will not be deposited until the first day of class). 2 seats are available. There will only be one class available. Sign up in PJHS Office.

The band room is closed to students during lunch, unless a student has a note signed by a band director with permission to be there.

PARKING REMINDER: Students are not to park at the athletic complex or the agri building during school hours. Park in your designated class areas.

Circle of Friends: If anyone is interested in joining the Circle of Friends, peer applications are available in the office.

SWAT meetings every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room (Rm 22) at lunch- Bring your lunch!

Math tutoring is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday BEFORE SCHOOL (7:00 - 7:50 in Rm 18 - Henderson) and AFTER SCHOOL (3:30 - 4:30 in Rm 26 - Steimel). Literacy and other subjects tutoring is available Tuesday and Thursday after school 3:30 - 4:30 in Rm 24 - Bass.

You may begin applying at www.adhe.edu. for the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship by going to the YoUniversal tab. Those still needing to meet requirements have until June 1st.

The "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students can visit this link www.fashion-schools.org and find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page and click on it. The deadline is June 1, 2016.

The "Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program is a $1000 scholarship awarded for AnimationCareerReview.com. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Visit our website, www.careeranimationreview.com to find eligibility information along with the online application. The scholarship will be on the right side of the page and click on it. The deadline is June 1, 2016.

Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its second annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship. They will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse. This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2016. They ask interested students to visit www.nursingschoolsalmanac.com and click the banner on the right-hand side of the website's homepage.
