PHS National Honor Society will sponsor a Coat Drive for the Clothing Closet November 27th-December 15th. Please take coats to Mrs. Steimel's room.
All Jrs who want to be on the Prom committee need to go by Mrs. Bass or Mrs Baty's room and sign the list to work in the concession stand.
Semester Test Schedules:
Thursday, Dec. 14 -Tests for Periods 6 and 7.
Friday, Dec. 15 - Tests for Periods 3, 4, and 5 - make-ups .... tests for 6th and 7th periods - and any missing assignments or incomplete work
Monday, Dec. 18 - Tests for Periods 1 and 2 - make-ups .... tests for 3rd, 4th, and 5th periods - and any missing assignments or incomplete work
Concurrent credit applications and dual credit applications along with the BRTC schedule will be available to those interested on Tuesday, November 14th. If you plan to take a class for concurrent credit or dual credit you will need to work with Mrs. Hogan to determine the classes you will be enrolling in. Applications for credit will be due in the counselor's office no later than Friday, December 1st once students have the required parent signature.
Choir will be hosting a Coffee Shop Talent Revue full of music and entertainment on December 1st from 6-8pm. Tickets will be $5 and will go on sale November 6th during lunch. See any choir student or Mrs. Moffett to purchase a ticket.
The Clothing Closet is now up and running. We have lots of items to choose from so if you need anything please see Mrs. Steimel

Tutoring has begun: Literacy with Mrs. Bass (includes all other areas) on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Tutoring is after school from 3:30-4:30.

REMINDER to Students & Staff: If students arrive on campus after the tardy bell at 8:00 a.m. they are to check in at the office. Students should have a tardy slip/pass from the office if they come into class after the bell; if not send them to the office to sign in.
***Please remember to use caution when walking to and from buildings. Students should use the crosswalks especially of the mornings and the afternoons when traffic is the busiest. Drivers please use caution and be aware of students walking around campus.
FBLA: Please check your email weekly for upcoming events and important dates. We have adopted 2 families this year for Christmas. Please come by the Business Building and sign up to bring an item. Anyone who brings an item will be invited to a Pizza Party during lunch the week before Christmas Break!

NHS meetings are every Thursday during lunch at 12:15 in Mrs. Murray's room for officers and committee members only. ALL members will meet the first Thursday of each month (same time & place). Role is taken at each meeting and members must participate.

The ACCUPLACER will be given to seniors that would like to raise their college placement score. This will not be the only date the test will be given, however you are encourage to sign up for this date as we will take the first 15 students. To register to take the test simply reply by marking "yes". By raising scores students can qualify for the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship and prevent college remediation. Testing will be Tuesday, December 5th in the PHS Library from 8 - 10 a.m. As of 11/2 there are 2 seats left. Please reply to the invitation in your calendar.

Seniors that are applying for scholarships with a Deadline of Friday (December 1st) need to meet with Mrs. Hogan today if their scholarship application is NOT completed and they need their transcript or other required information for the application. Those applications need to be mailed tomorrow to ensure the December 1 postmark.
