GENERAL NEWS

Back to school forms are due Wednesday, August 17th and should be turned in to your 2nd hour teacher (including students who have classes at the junior high building).

Students needing lockers or parking tags should come to the office between classes or during lunch.

Students DO NOT remove the wood shelves from lockers!

Parked in your class designated area and remember you must have your hang tag on your rearview mirror so that the number shows through the windshield.

*** Junior parking areas are marked in blue in available parking spots

*** Sophomore parking areas are not marked but your area is between the softball and baseball fields.

St. Bernards is currently accepting applications for the Patient Ambassador Program. Applications are being accepted through September 16th. This program allows students (ages 15-18) an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital setting where they will explore areas of healthcare and gain experience in helping others. It will be a year-round program allowing them to fulfill any of their needed community service hours or graduation requirements. Applications may be picked up in the nurse's office.

The Pocahontas High School Student Council will begin accepting petitions for Sophomore and Senior class representatives today. The petitions will be located outside the office on the bulletin board. Petitions must be completely filled out and returned to Mr. Phelps no later than 12:00 on Wednesday August 24. Elections will be held on Friday August 26 during lunch.

WEDNESDAY

Folder papers are due !!! Return to your 2nd period teacher. We will not be making anymore schedule changes after today.

Sophomore Class meeting with Mrs. Grooms @ 9:00 in the cafeteria

Baseball signup sheets (Grades 9-12) are located on Coach Eddington’s door (at PJHS Room 313) and in the high school office.

THURSDAY

Swim Team: Any swimmer interested in being on the swim team (Grades 9-12), please join us at 7:30 in the sports complex for an informational meeting.

Junior Class meeting with Mrs. Grooms @ 9:00 in the cafeteria

There will be an FCCLA meeting at lunch on Thursday. FCCLA is open to anyone who has had any class in the FACS Department. Bring your lunch and come to the FACS building (Mrs. Lynch).

Golf (Home) Rolling Hills CC @ 3:20 p.m. Please dismiss players at 2:30 p.m.

FRIDAY

Any students who have not turned in red folders by today will be called to the office by Coach Brewington.

There will be a baseball meeting after school Friday in Coach Eddington’s room for baseball players who do not have an after school practice for another sport/activity.

FFA: There will be an FFA Officer Meeting Tuesday August 23rd at 12:05

The FFA Back to School Cook-Out will be August 25th at the county pool from 5-7 PM

The Randolph Fair will be August 29th-September 3rd.

The Delta Fair will be September 5th-11th

FFA T-Shirts go on Sale Wednesday, August 17. Each shirt is $10.00
