Congratulations to our Tennis team !!! Camilo Golac, Ty McDonnough, Trevor Overbay & Anna Baltz are State Bound ! London Hanson and Chase McDonnough finished 4th in District and got All District and All Conference Honors ! WAY TO GO !!!

YEARBOOK NEWS-- OCTOBER 3-7 IS NATIONAL YEARBOOK WEEK!

FBLA: Fall Leadership Conference permission slips are due Friday, October 7th. If you have not picked up a permission slip please see Mrs. Blalock or Mrs. Hall.

All PHS LINK students that are interested in teaching for Red Ribbon Week need to see Mrs. Cox as soon as possible. I have to get you approved with your principals and teachers.

Any Jr class member who would like to work on Homecoming needs to meet Sunday at 3:30 at the home of Bryan Palmer. Please bring $10 to help pay for supplies and food for tailgate!

2016 Homecoming Shirts are now on sale through Friday, October 7th at 12:00pm. These may be purchased from Mr. Phelps at PHS or Coach Brooks at PJHS. White t-shirts $10.00 for Youth Small, Medium, and Large and Adult Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. Please add $2.00 for Adult 2XL and 3XL. White with Black sleeve baseball style shirts $15.00 for Youth Small, Medium, and Large and Adult Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. Please add $2.00 for Adult 2XL and 3XL. The same design is on both the t-shirts and baseball style shirts. Alma Spikes and MD Williams student will have an order form sent home. This years homecoming theme is "Going for the Gold". For pictures see the bulletin board across from the office.

Homecoming Dance Date Sign-Up Sheet is in the office. Deadline to sign up your date is Oct. 13th.

Circle of Friends applications can be picked up in the office. They need to be returned to Mrs. Courtney Throesch or the office. Applications need to be turned in soon so we can get started.

Art Club enrollment is open through the month of September. If you are interested in joining, please join us for lunch on Thursday in Ms. Galvan’s room.

Anyone interested in Chess Club see Mrs. Miller on Wednesdays. Chess practice will be Wednesdays at noon in her room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring you lunch.

DRAMA CLUB MEETING DURING LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY

FFA T-shirts are now on sale. Each shirt is $10.00

ACT Prep Sessions will be offered during the 2016-17 school year for students interested in review sessions prior to the National ACT test. Each prep session will be from 3:30-4:30 and dates are 10/4, 10/5, 10/6. 10/11, 10/12, 10/13. Check your email and sign up for the date and subject.

The last day LINK dues can be paid is at the meeting October 6th. Drop by the choir room at lunch that day and get the latest info.

The Randolph County Health Department will be here on Wednesday, October 26th to administer the flu vaccine. Consent forms will be sent home with students in the upcoming weeks. Consents must be returned to the school nurse by Wednesday, October 19th.

Mr. Miller will be offering tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school or directly after school. Please make sure to let him know if you will be attending. Students can also stop by his room during 4th hour, if needed.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

Fall athletic passes are accepted at the gate for fall sporting events. Students must show their pass at the gate for free entry, otherwise students are to pay the $2.00 entry fee.

WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Gholson’s 3rd hour Medical Terminology class is to report to Study Hall.

There will be a Sophomore Class meeting at lunch in Mrs. Sullinger’s room at lunch.

PHS NHS will meet Wednesday at 12:10 in the student center to make sure dues are paid, discuss the clothing closet and an opportunity for service hours.

LINK officers are to meet in the choir room at 11:45 Wednesday. All officers are required to attend this meeting. (Brittney Waire, DJ Hilton, Maria Flores, Stone Weiand, Gabrielle Hoffman, Lacey Courtney, & Clark Chastain)

Thursday is the LAST DAY to join PHS LINK. Drop by the choir room Thursday at lunch! Dues are $5. You can give them to Mrs. Phelps or Mrs. Moffett at the meeting Thursday. (You do not take your money to Mrs. Cox at PJHS.) Thursday's LINK meeting will cover our part in the Homecoming festivities! Be sure to see how you can join in on the fun!

SENIOR NEWS

Seniors check the list, on the board across from the office, for the correct spelling of your name. This is the way your name will appear on your diploma. If your name is spelled incorrectly let the office know.

On October 26th seniors will have the opportunity to attend a College Fair at Williams Baptist College. We will be leaving PHS at 8:15 and returning to campus no later than 10:00. In order to attend you must pre- register at www.gotocollegefairs.com and also complete the consent to travel form that is attached to this email. Please return your consent to travel form to Mrs. Hogan by 3:30 pm October 17th. No late forms will be accepted.
