GENERAL NEWS

FFA: October 11th thru 23rd - Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock, AR… Good luck to all FFA Members !!!

FFA Members wanting to sign up for Greenhand and 360 Conferences need to do so by October 14th in Mr Washburn's room. FFA Members will need to pay for the conferences by October 28th.

Seniors are reminded that we will travel to Williams Baptist on Wednesday,October 26th for the College Fair. To attend you must have permissions slips turned in by 3:30 pm Monday, October 17. Also, don't forget to register at www.gotocollegefairs.com

Senior Class nominations for class song, motto, colors and flowers will be taken through Friday. Forms can be found under the bulletin board. Return forms to Mrs. Casillas.

Pocahontas Special Olympics T-Shirt Order forms are available at the bulletin board. Orders need to be turned into Mrs. Tabitha Phelps (PJHS) by October 19th.

All PHS LINK students that are interested in teaching for Red Ribbon Week need to see Mrs. Cox as soon as possible. I have to get you approved with your principals and teachers.

PHS Project Graduation 5k Color RunwithFun. Adults $25, 10 and under $10. Must register by Oct 31 at 5pm to guarantee a T-Shirt. Sponsored by Black River Health Club

Circle of Friends applications can be picked up in the office. They need to be returned to Mrs. Courtney Throesch or the office. Applications need to be turned in soon so we can get started.

The Randolph County Health Department will be here on Wednesday, October 26th to administer the flu vaccine. Consent forms will be sent home with students in the upcoming weeks. Consents must be returned to the school nurse by Wednesday, October 19th.

Anyone interested in Chess Club see Mrs. Miller on Wednesdays. Chess practice will be Wednesdays at noon in her room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring your lunch.

DRAMA CLUB MEETING DURING LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY

Mr. Miller will be offering tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school or directly after school. Please make sure to let him know if you will be attending. Students can also stop by his room during 4th hour, if needed.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

Fall athletic passes are accepted at the gate for fall sporting events. Students must show their pass at the gate for free entry, otherwise students are to pay the $2.00 entry fee.

Coronation will begin at 12:40 in the gym… The parade will follow after the crowning ceremony… At the end of the parade all PHS students will meet in the stadium for the Pep Rally and winners of the Float Contest will be announced.

Homecoming Queen and Court will be introduced prior to the game beginning at 6:30… The game will start at 7:00… A Homecoming Dance will begin following the football game and last until 11:30 p.m.

Seniors check the list, on the board across from the office, for the correct spelling of your name. This is the way your name will appear on your diploma. If your name is spelled incorrectly let the office know.

On October 26th seniors will have the opportunity to attend a College Fair at Williams Baptist College. We will be leaving PHS at 8:15 and returning to campus no later than 10:00. In order to attend you must pre- register at www.gotocollegefairs.com and also complete the consent to travel form that is attached to this email. Please return your consent to travel form to Mrs. Hogan by 3:30 pm October 17th. No late forms will be accepted.
