Do you like to watch YouTube videos? Do you like social media? Would you like to create content for your school to share with the community/city/state/world? We are creating a club for 9th-12th grade students to do just that for our school district. In this club, you can do the following:

  1. Stream live to YouTube all home (and possibly away) sporting events. With away games, this would mean traveling.

  2. Stream live to YouTube campus events throughout the year such as pep rallies, homecoming activities, band concerts, academic assemblies, award ceremonies, etc…

  3. Produce and direct these events live.

  4. Maintain our district YouTube page. Upload videos that you create.

  5. Help create content for the school’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

  6. Maintain a schedule of events and be responsible for setup, broadcast, and tear down.

If this is something that you would be interested in, please check your email to fill out an information form Today..

LINK- Memberships will begin next week. Applications will be on the red table in front of Mrs. Cox’s office or you may pick one up from Mrs. Moffett. She is in charge of the Extreme Youth team, but you sign up through LINK. The cost is $5.00 per person. Tshirts and hoodies will be ordered in a different month.

LINK is also selling homecoming mums, pins, and garters through Posey Patch. Examples are displayed in the Jr. High hallway next to Mrs. Cox’s office. Mum can be any size and color, as long as you are willing to pay the extra cost. The display shows standard ribbons and their cost. You may pick up an order form and pay Mrs. Cox in the Jr. high or go directly to Posey Patch to place your order. Tell them you are ordering through LINK to help us raise money.

Students interested in the IT Field:

St. Bernards Ambassador Program now has a new volunteer station for students who are interested in the IT field.  They have a large IT department that makes sure our hospital runs smoothly each day and would be great for any student to learn more about a future career path in IT.  If you are interested in being an Ambassador Volunteer in their IT department, you may pick up a form from the Mrs. Gholson (school nurse). This program allows students (15-18) an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital setting where they will explore areas in healthcare and gain experience in helping others.  It will be a year-round program allowing them to fulfill any of their needed community service hours or graduation requirements. Deadline to apply is Friday, September 13th.

Are you a SENIOR that is interested in learning more about a career

in health care?

UAMS is excited about the upcoming program series, “A Day in the Life”.

Planning and preparation are now underway for both “A Day in the Life -

Variety and “A Day in the Life of a Nurse”.

These one-day programs are aimed at helping High School Seniors

decide on a medical career by providing information, interaction with

professionals, tours, and hands-on activities. Please let students know

because of space limitations, they may only choose one of these events.

Please see the nurse for an application.
