Athletic physicals will be Wednesday, March 29th @ 3:30 in the complex.

Congratulations Morgan Shelton, Clara Luttrell, Laurel Dhority, Destiney Smith, Mckayla Sorg, & Jessica Green! They showed at the Spring Livestock Show and the Crowley’s Ridge Classic and did well and placed high in their showings. Good Job Girls !!!

FFA members wanting to be part of State FFA Convention see Mr Washburn by Wednesday March 29th.

FFA Officer Applications must be turned in by March 31st by 3:20

FFA Banquet Money must be paid by April 14th. The cost is $1.00

9th/10th Grade - BRTC will be here on March 30 at 8:30 that morning to talk with interested students about the TOPSS program. There will also be a presentation that evening at 6:00 for parents and students to attend. TOPSS - provides opportunities for students to begin college work in Health Care (CNA, phlebotomy, nursing, EMT, or Fire Science) and Industrial Technology (Welding, Machine Tool, or Industrial Electricity). These are free to PHS Juniors and Seniors.

Work Force has extended their deadline for accepting job applications for summer work. Bring your completed application to the office. Applications were handed out in Mrs. Baltz and Mrs. Casilla's 12th grade English classes.

PROM INFO:Attention Seniors! Please fill out your Senior walk form (you can walk with anyone as long as they are a senior) and get your 10 pictures to Mrs. Casillas by March 31st.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! If you are bringing a date to Prom that DOES NOT ATTEND PHS you will need to fill out a guest registration. The forms are located in the hallway across from the office. Deadline to return these are April 7th!

Any student who wants to showcase their art or photography in the yearbook, please submit it to hope.barnes@smail.pocahontaspsd.com

Jammin In The Jungle Basketball Tournament March 31st thru April 1st

Applications are being accepted for the St. Bernards Medical Center Jr. Volunteer Program. The program allows students (ages 15 – 18) an opportunity to volunteer in a hospital setting where they will explore careers and gain experience in helping others. Participants will gain hands on experience in surgery, laboratory, nursing, radiology, rehabilitative services, exercise science, pharmacy and more! It will be a three-week session where we will accept 15 students into the program. The session will be held from July 7th-28th. Applications may be picked up in the nurse's office. They are due by Friday, May 5th.

ACT Summer Academy - May 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st & June 5th - 9th… for students wishing to prepare for the June test. You MUST register for the June 10th ACT test (deadline for registration is May 5th). Once registered provide Mrs. Hogan with a copy of your ACT admission ticket.

Driver's Education Class Sign ups - Students must have a Driver's Permit in order to take the class. Only 6 seats available. First come/first serve. Must have $200.00 check (check can be dated May 25th) to place name on list and Driver's Permit. Sign up in PJHS Office. Classes will be May 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st and June 1st. (8:00 - 5:00 p.m. )

Practice for Agri Mechanics is Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 4:00 pm

DRAMA CLUB & HISTORY CLUB will meet Monday & Wednesday during lunch in Mrs. Bass’ room.

FFA members on AG Mechanics & Electricity teams meet Tuesdays & Thursdays with Mr. Hogan @ 3:30

NHS will meet every Tuesday @12:20 to discuss fundraising and activities.

CHESS CLUB will practice Wednesdays at noon in Mrs. Miller’s room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring your lunch.

KEY CLUB will meet every Wednesday in Mr. James’ room at lunch

STUDENTS & DRIVERS: Please remember to be cautious at the crosswalks. Drivers please be on the lookout for students crossing as well as students being observant of the traffic. Mornings and afternoons are very hectic with heavy traffic but we all need to use caution and be observant in these areas for the safety of all.

REMINDER: Students are to sign in and out of the office when they come onto and leave campus any time other than the first bell at 7:50 a.m. Students who have classes on the BRTC campus are to sign in and out at the office according to their schedule.

REMINDER: Students are not to sit in their vehicles once they arrive on campus. Once you are parked you must exit your vehicle and come into the building.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

There will be an FFA officer meeting at 12:10 to discuss upcoming events.

Athletic physicals will be done today after school in the complex. These are free of charge and all students planning to participate in athletics may attend. Physical forms can be picked up in the office or from your coach.

ALL STUDENTS: The Northeast Arkansas Wounded Warriors Group is offering a $1000 scholarship this spring - the application can be found on their facebook page. Any student that is the child, spouse, sibling, or grandchild of a veteran and receives college credit may apply. Deadline for applying is April 7th.
