GENERAL NEWS

Any sophomore interested in attending the Crowley's Ridge Nature Center on May 23rd please see Ms. Crutcher for additional details and to register. The registration deadline is at noon on Friday (5/19)

FFA Members please see the list in Mr Washburn's room to find out if you have qualified for the end of year FFA trip.  If you are going to go or if you are not going to attend please let Mr.  Washburn know by Wednesday of this week.  

FFA Members please see Mr Washburn if you did not attend banquet and he may an award for you.

If you want to attend Arkansas Leadership Camp please see Mr Washburn and you must pay 62.50 by May 19th

Semester Test Schedule:  (Sophomores & Juniors)

May 22 - 1st and 2nd period (makeup tests for 3rd, 4th, and 5th and any missing assignments)

May 23 - make up tests for 1st and 2nd and any missing assignments

The end of the 2016-2017 school year is quickly approaching.  Our last day of school will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017.  As part of our end of year fiscal process, we must zero out any meal charges.  Therefore, we ask that all meal charges be paid by the last day of school and request that no charges be made after May 1, 2017 if at all possible.  Please contact our central office staff if your child(ren) currently has charges and you need to establish a payment plan to pay off the charges.  We appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Any Junior who is interested in a career in Nutritional Science or Hospitality should see Mrs. Lynch concerning an upcoming open house for the new Programs at ASU.

ACT Summer Academy -  May 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st & June 5th - 9th… Once registered provide Mrs. Hogan with a copy of your ACT admission ticket.

Driver's Education Class Sign ups -  Students must have a Driver's Permit in order to take the class. Only 1 seat available.  First come/first serve.  Must have $200.00 check (check can be dated May 25th) to place name on list and Driver's Permit.  Sign up in PJHS Office.  Classes will be May 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st and June 1st.  (8:00 - 5:00 p.m. )   

Please remember to be cautious at the crosswalks.  Drivers please be on the lookout for students crossing as well as students being observant of the traffic.  Mornings and afternoons are very hectic with heavy traffic but we all need to use caution and be observant in these areas for the safety of all.  

REMINDER:  Students are to sign in and out of the office when they come onto and leave campus any time other than the first bell at 7:50 a.m.  Students who have classes on the BRTC campus are to sign in and out at the office according to their schedule.

REMINDER:  Students are not to sit in their vehicles once they arrive on campus.  Once you are parked you must exit your vehicle and come into the building.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

FRIDAY

Make-up test for AP Literature @ 8:00 and AP Biology @ 12:00 noon

Yearbook Assembly Today !!!!  We will reveal the yearbook and have an assembly at 1:30.  Seniors should return to campus at 1:30 and students need to go to the gym immediately at the end of 5th period!

YEARBOOKS will be distributed TODAY. We have a few yearbooks left to sale. If you would like to guarantee getting a copy, you can still pre-pay for one before Friday. If any are left, we will sell those when we distribute on FRIDAY. Yearbooks are $45.00.

Graduation Practice begins @ 9:00.... Seniors need to be on the football field (gym if it is raining)  no later than 8:45 and in cap and gown.  The Senior Class Picture will be taken promptly at 9:00.   Practice is mandatory!

Link end of the year trip to Silver Dollar City.  LINK forms for the Silver Dollar City trip are located in the baskets by the office.  You must be an active member of LINK to attend the trip.

WEDNESDAY

Last Day of School…. Awards Ceremony @ 10:00 in PHS gym….Students will be released early with Alma bus riders being dismissed at approximately 12:00 noon and all other bus riders at 12:15. Lunch will be served prior to dismissal.
