GENERAL NEWS

Choir will be selling Candy Cane Candy Grams during lunch (in the student center) this week for $2.00 a piece. They will be delivered this Friday and Next Monday. Help support choir and send your friends a fun message!

BRTC Students - BRTC Transcripts will be ready Monday, December 19th. Transcripts need to be brought to Mrs. Cyndy in the high school office ASAP so they can be added on your high school transcript.

NHS- We have adopted a Christmas family. There are a few openings still left. Check your email. Wraping/Pizza Party in Mrs. Steimel's room Friday during lunch for those who contribute!!

Tip-Off T-shirts for Sale $10 each… See Monica Brewington at MD Williams.

NHS will meet every Tuesday @12:20 (beginning after the break) to discuss fundraising and activities.

If any agriculture students do not have an FFA membership cards please see Mr. Washburn.

FFA Members that have signed up for CDE's Teams will need to attend the CDE Meeting on December 14th at 12:10 to discuss the contests and practice times.

LINK Little Caesars' Pizza Kits delivery will be on Tuesday December 13, 2016. All kits will need to be picked up that afternoon of the 13th because the pizza kits are frozen and need to be in your freezer. Mrs. Cox will stay late that day to meet parents when they get off from work.

Christmas Roll Sale - Hot Rolls, Wheat Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls - Last day to order December 14th. Place your order with any of the school cafeterias.

Presidential Election

*YEARBOOK is SELLING PIES to help purchase cameras. Chef's In has agreed to allowed us to sell their pies and give us all the proceeds. **We will be selling PECAN ($17), PEANUT BUTTER ($17), PUMPKIN ($15), CHOCOLATE CREAM ($15), and COCONUT CREAM ($15)

SEMESTER TEST SCHEDULE: No early testing without prior approval from Mrs. Grooms

December 15th - 6th & 7th periods

December 16th - 3rd, 4th & 5th periods. Make up work or make up 6th & 7th period tests.

December 19th - 1st & 2nd periods. Make up work or make up 3rd, 4th, or 5th period tests.

December 20th - Any make up work or 1st and 2nd period tests.

Pocahontas Public Schools will be closed for the Christmas Holiday, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 through Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The district will conduct its regular schedule on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Pocahontas Public Schools will re-open on Wednesday, January 4, 2017

Anyone interested in Chess Club see Mrs. Miller on Wednesdays. Chess practice will be Wednesdays at noon in her room at junior high.

S.W.A.T. will meet every Wednesday in Mrs. Baty’s room at lunch… Bring your lunch.

KEY CLUB will meet every Wednesday in Mr. James’ room at lunch

DRAMA CLUB MEETING DURING LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY

Mr. Miller will be offering tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school or directly after school. Please make sure to let him know if you will be attending. Students can also stop by his room during 4th hour, if needed.

Mrs. Henderson will be offering tutoring at 7:00 a.m. in her classroom on TUESDAYS. She will have a chrome cart available.

ALL students who drive and park on our campus must have a current hang tag.

The fall (green) athletic passes are no longer valid.

Winter athletic passes (basketball, swim, cheer) are accepted at the gate for winter sporting events. Students must show their pass at the gate for free entry, otherwise students are to pay the $2.00 entry fee.

There will be an FFA Officer meeting at 12:10

FBLA Adopt-A-Family Pizza Party

Any girl grade 7-11 that is interested in playing volleyball next year during the 2017 season will need to meet in the Jr. High Gym, Wednesday at 12:10 for a meeting. You may bring your lunch if you need to. This is mandatory if you are interested in trying out next spring.

RAFFLE TICKETS FOR MINI IPAD FOR PROJECT GRADUATION: See Mrs. Kim to pick up raffle tickets. If you sell 20 tickets you will receive $10 incentive money for the night of Project Graduation.

There is a new Senior List posted on the bulletin board across from the office. PLEASE CHECK it to be sure your name is spelled correctly. This is how it will be listed on your diploma.
