Did you know? 📊
Pocahontas School District currently has one of the lowest millage rates among surrounding districts.
Even with the proposed millage increase, our rate would remain competitive with neighboring schools while allowing us to build safer, more modern learning environments for our students.
An investment in education is an investment in our community’s future.

Our school counselors have been leading this month’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts lessons focused on Self-Direction — and our students are doing an incredible job! ❤️
✨ Mrs. Charla worked with 4th and 6th graders on making positive choices and learning self-control. Her 4th graders had fun with a “No Smiling Challenge” to practice focus, while her 6th graders explored what it means to choose the right path even when it’s difficult.
✨ Mr. Kalob led 5th graders through a teamwork and trust activity — one student guided another around the room while classmates created distractions.

This school year, all students have access to free school breakfast thanks to the new “Breakfast for All” legislation. 🎉
We hope to see even more students taking advantage of this opportunity to start their school day with a healthy meal — fueling their focus, energy, and success in the classroom.
A great day of learning starts with a great breakfast — and now it’s at no cost to families. ❤️🖤🤍

🏫 Building a More Accessible Future 🏫
Right now, our current high school building has three sets of stairs and is not ADA accessible. For students with disabilities, this creates barriers that make learning and daily routines much more difficult.
With the 2025 Millage Campaign, a new high school would provide modern, ADA-compliant facilities—ensuring every student has equal access to classrooms, resources, and opportunities.
Accessibility isn’t just a convenience; it’s a necessity. Together, we can create a school where all students can learn, grow, and succeed. ❤️🖤

Moments that matter most…
Administrator, Craig Green, took time out of his day to encourage and play catch with a young student learning to throw a football. 🏈
It’s these simple acts of connection that remind us what education is all about—building relationships and supporting kids every step of the way. ❤️🖤
