This week, our students are diving into a powerful lesson on compassion and what it means to connect with others. Teenagers naturally go through a stage of self-focus as they navigate emotional growth. But connection—both online and IRL—helps them become more aware of the needs around them and gives them the confidence to step up and make a difference.
We’re exploring how empathy can inspire action through some incredible art prompts! 🎨💬

By reflecting on these topics, students are learning how their actions can have a positive impact on others. When we connect deeply, we care deeply—and that's where true compassion starts. 💛

On Friday, PJHS students participated in an assembly led by Taylor James, a Community Health Promotion Specialist from the Arkansas Department of Health. Mr. James shared important insights on the risks associated with vapes, e-cigarettes, and tobacco products. The students paid close attention, asked thoughtful questions, and were actively engaged throughout the presentation. We look forward to having Mr. James return in November for another informative visit!
