Character Trait: Resilience
WEEK TWO: Knocked Down and Feeling Low
Falling down is hard and painful and tiring. It takes time to get back up, and the truth is, you might not want to get back up. How do you find reasons to get back up when you are down? What are your “whys”, the reason to keep going when you aren’t a starter on the team,
not first chair of the section, and didn’t get the lead? This week, we’ll talk about facing and overcoming adversity

Fighting With River Pins

Due to the chance of inclement weather, there will be NO Junior High Basketball games tonight. The SR Girls and SR Boys will play Brookland beginning at 4:00 pm.

January Character Trait: Resilience
WEEK ONE: What is resilience?
Resilience is a tough word. It doesn’t mean that everyone can pop back up at the same rate, or that everyone experiences the same types of setbacks, or has the same experience getting back up. It’s kind of like one of those punching clowns: everyone gets knocked down— just
not at the same level, with the same resources for help, or the same past experiences in getting up from challenges. How do we pop back up anyway?

Thank you to everyone who came out Friday to make our 2024 College and Career Day a huge success at PJHS!

PJHS Career Day is Friday, December 13th!
