Attention Parents: Tuesday, January 30th Due to transportation issues, the Camel, Deer and Pine Tree Bus will be running an hour late for the afternoon drop-off. You are welcome to pick your child up at dismissal to avoid this inconvenience. Please notify the office if you want to change their transportation plan.
Monday January 29, 2024. The Deer bus is double routed today. Deer bus riders will be arriving home an hour later than usual. Thank you for your patience.
Spring Picture Day is Tuesday, February 6th! Students will only get their picture made if you have prepaid for the pictures. Payment can be made online with the information given on the flyer or by completing the order forms that will be sent home in your child's folder.
Just a friendly reminder that Monday, January 15th there will be NO SCHOOL in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School will resume back on Tuesday, January 16th, weather permitting.
Attention Parents: Report cards will be going home Friday January 5th in your child's backpack.

Our character trait for the month of December was Honesty. Today we had an assembly honoring those students nominated by their teachers as well as teachers nominated by their peers. Congratulations to all that were nominated.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the recognition program this morning at PES. Students selling the most items during our fundraiser got to hit Mr. Carter or Mr. Helms with a pie in the face. They really seemed to enjoy it!
Attention Parents: If your child is missing any belongings and you are attending their Christmas parties today, please go by and check out our lost and found. Items are continuing to accumulate everyday.
Parking for PES Christmas Parties!
Parents attending Kindergarten and or 1st Grade Christmas parties are invited to park on the west side of the building. This is normally the designated bus area. This will allow you to directly enter the appropriate grade level. 2nd and 3rd grade are allowed to enter the east side of the building directly facing car drop off.
Today December 13th, Thursday December 14th and Friday December 15th. The Duck bus will be double routed. Duck bus riders will be arriving home a little later than usual this week. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you to the Randolph County Nursing Home for allowing some of our second graders to visit this week.
Friendly reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th is 2nd Grade Christmas Concert! Please have the children report to their classrooms 20 minutes before their scheduled program.
Yesterday was the last day of after school tutoring for the fall semester @ Pocahontas Elementary. New tutoring students are currently being identified for service after the winter break . Parents will be notified in January if your child qualifies.
