This morning, we have had a team out driving roads, looking at surfaces, and watching the radar. After considering factors, the decision has been made to move forward with the school day (Monday Jan 22). We will run the weather routes. As with everyday, we encourage parents and students to be cautious and safe. We look forward to seeing you in school today.

Pocahontas Schools is aware of the threat of freezing rain in the early hours of Monday morning. At this time, we will continue to monitor the situation. As we watch the weather develop, it is most likely a decision will be made tomorrow morning before buses begin rolling. The current weather pattern indicates a 20% chance of precipitation prior to 8am. We will communicate via text, phone call, and/or Facebook as weather unfolds during the night and early morning.
