As the students in Mr. Stone's identify cell parts & functions, this Anatomy & Physiology class got to practice using microscopes to view slides of the many different cell types of the human body, including fat tissue, heart cells, & blood cells.

Congratulations to our seniors, Olivia Fears and Kenan Ogden, who are two students from across the country to earn academic honors from the College Board's National Recognition Programs! These National Recognition Programs grant underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications and connect students with universities across the country, helping them stand out during the admissions process. Colleges and scholarship programs use these honors to identify students from underrepresented groups through College Board's Student Search Service.
Olivia and Kenan earned this academic honor because of their GPA of 3.5 or higher and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP® Exams.

Important Graduation Information for the Class of 2024!! Parent/Guardians and students please read.
All BRTC classes begin Monday, August 14th. This is two days prior to students returning to PHS.
I have sent an email to all students regarding how to submit payment for any registered course and access online courses. Payment for fall classes is due Thursday, August 10th.

Juniors and Seniors who applied for the Career and Technical Center Program at BRTC will have Orientation on the following dates. Students are expected to be in attendance if at all possible.

Senior composites are Wednesday and Thursday this week in the PHS Library. If you have not set up appointment time through https://prestigeportraits.com/, do so as soon as possible. If you need your 8 digit appointment code please call the PHS office.
Parents- All Students must have a meningitis booster when they turn 16. Please get student immunizations this summer to avoid having to do it when school starts. Questions can be emailed to tracy.gholson@pocahontaspsd.com
