NHS Toy Drive for St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Our National Honor Society is currently hosting a toy drive to support the patients at St. Jude Children’s Hospital! We are accepting new gift donations through Friday, April 24, and our NHS officers will personally deliver the items on April 29.

To ensure all donations meet hospital guidelines:
✔️ No liquids or items with batteries
✔️ No soft or plush toys (for sanitation purposes)

Black River Technical College visited our high school for mobile registration, helping BRTC-bound students sign up for their college classes for next year. Setting our students up for success—one step closer to their future!

The Pine Tree bus will be double-routed and will run 30-35 minutes late this afternoon. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to work through the continual driver shortage.

It’s that time—ATLAS testing is right around the corner, and we are READY! Our students and teachers have been putting in the work, and now it’s time to show what we know. Let’s bring the energy, the confidence, and the focus! Things got a little fizzy in Honors Chemistry. Students made bath bombs to demonstrate chemical reactions—and had a lot of fun doing it. Hands-on learning at its best.

Great things are happening in Ms. Amanda Brown’s English classes! 📚✨ Students have been researching, preparing, and presenting with confidence—and it shows! We’re proud of their hard work and growth.

Helping our students prepare for what’s next—every step of the way.

Today we are incredibly grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown during our Pocahontas School District evacuation and reunification drill. A huge thank you to Black River Technical College, Pocahontas Fire Department, Pocahontas Police Department, and Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA), along with all of our community partners, for helping coordinate and support this important effort. This drill is a required part of our ongoing safety planning and plays a critical role in ensuring we are prepared to protect our students and staff in any situation. Drills like these take planning, communication, and strong partnerships—and today proved just how committed our community is to keeping our schools safe. We appreciate everyone who played a role in making this a success!
