Construction is still underway at the new elementary school. Things are moving along nicely.
The Duck bus will be running two routes today. We will be holding the Duck riders for the second route here at Alma Spikes until the Duck bus returns.

Mr. Martens did a read aloud in Mrs. Brandt's second grade class last week. He read "Billy Bloo is Stuck in Goo". The students loved his read aloud and enjoyed his explanations! Especially, the one about the loo! The students hope he can come do a read aloud again soon!
The Alma Spikes Art Department and the students would like to thank the City of Pocahontas for the generous donation of paper. It will be put to good use.

Due to the impending weather forecast, the Pre-K trip to the park that was scheduled for tomorrow (5/09) has been rescheduled for Monday, May 13th (weather permitting).
Reminder that tomorrow (5/04) is the Alma Spikes Elementary Art Show!! The Exhibit will be on display from 8am to 2:30pm in the Alma Cafeteria. Everyone is invited to attend.
Due to the rain, we will be having the bouncy stations in the gym tomorrow. Normally, this would be the best time to attend and enjoy the fun with your kids. However, I want to make sure everyone knows that we will be in the gym and it will be hot, damp, and will have strong odors of bouncing and playing. If you would like to attend, the times are as follows:
