Today, we proudly recognize and celebrate the incredible bus drivers of the Pocahontas School District!

Each day, our drivers are among the first to greet our students and the last to send them home safely. They do so much more than drive a route—they build relationships, offer a smile, provide encouragement, and ensure that every student’s day starts and ends with care.

Rain or shine, early mornings and long afternoons, their dedication never goes unnoticed. We are grateful for the patience, commitment, and heart they bring to our district every single day.

📣 Band Concert Announcement 🎶

The Beginning Band and High School Concert & Awards Ceremony will kick off tonight at 6:00 PM in the Junior High Gym!

Then, join us again tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the Junior High Gym for the 7th & 8th Grade Band Concert.

Come out and support our talented student musicians as they showcase their hard work and celebrate a great year!

We are proud of our students who participated in Solo & Ensemble recently at Highland High School. Their hard work, preparation, and dedication to their craft were evident in their performances.

Congratulations to all students who earned Superior and Excellent ratings—your commitment to excellence and growth in music is something to be celebrated.

NHS Toy Drive for St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Our National Honor Society is currently hosting a toy drive to support the patients at St. Jude Children’s Hospital! We are accepting new gift donations through Friday, April 24, and our NHS officers will personally deliver the items on April 29.

To ensure all donations meet hospital guidelines:
✔️ No liquids or items with batteries
✔️ No soft or plush toys (for sanitation purposes)

Donations can be dropped off at any building office or turned in to Mr. or Mrs. Murray. Thank you for helping our students make a meaningful impact for children in need!

As testing wraps up at Pocahontas Junior High, there’s been an incredible sense of positivity throughout the building! From encouraging words to celebrating effort, our halls have been filled with praise, support, and great conversations.

We are so proud of our students and staff for their hard work, determination, and the way they’ve lifted each other up all week long.

📚✨ ATLAS Testing Starts Tomorrow at PJHS & PHS! ✨📚 It’s go time! Our junior high and high school students have put in the work—now it’s time to show what they know. A few reminders to help our students succeed: ✅ Get a good night’s sleep ✅ Eat a solid breakfast ✅ Be on time (testing starts first thing!) ✅ Take your time and read carefully ✅ Stay confident and give it your best Parents, thank you for helping make attendance a priority during testing—every day matters! 🙌

It’s that time—ATLAS testing is right around the corner, and we are READY! Our students and teachers have been putting in the work, and now it’s time to show what we know. Let’s bring the energy, the confidence, and the focus! Today we are incredibly grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown during our Pocahontas School District evacuation and reunification drill. A huge thank you to Black River Technical College, Pocahontas Fire Department, Pocahontas Police Department, and Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA), along with all of our community partners, for helping coordinate and support this important effort. This drill is a required part of our ongoing safety planning and plays a critical role in ensuring we are prepared to protect our students and staff in any situation. Drills like these take planning, communication, and strong partnerships—and today proved just how committed our community is to keeping our schools safe. We appreciate everyone who played a role in making this a success!
