HOPE: Believing that something good can come out of something bad. What is hope? Hope is tricky. The thing about hope is that usually you can’t actually see it, and sometimes it is hard to even believe that it is there. This week, we will talk about finding hope by seeing the good in others and in yourself, even when it feels like it isn’t there.

📢 Special Day at PJHS! Today, we welcomed AnnaBeth Townsend as our guest speaker, along with special guests from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Slade Weisenbach and Brian Alexander, and our very own Michael Elledge from the Pocahontas Police Department/PJHS SRO. Ms. Townsend spoke to our students about the dangers of tobacco, vapes, stimulants, depressants, and more—while also sharing healthy coping skills. WEEK TWO: Cooperation Across Lines The minute we are in a group— or team, or club, or organization— we encounter people who bring with them different backgrounds, experiences, customs, and methods of communication. This can be tricky, whether we are in 6th grade or nearing retirement. This week we focus on how we work with people who are different and how we can learn about others while cooperating.
