December Character Trait: Service
WEEK ONE: What is service?
Service and generosity are closely related. Both require us to see others in a way that allows for their needs to be visible, and both require action from us. This week, we will look at service as an action that you do to help someone do something that they couldn’t do without your help.

Generosity Challenge: Help Keep Others Warm!
From now until Thanksgiving break, we are having a special competition to show how generous we can be! Here’s how it works:
7th Grade Classes: Collect as many gloves as you can. Your class is competing against other 7th grade classes!
8th Grade Classes: Collect as many pairs of socks as you can. Your class is competing against other 8th grade classes!
9th Grade Classes: Collect as many winter hats and scarves as you can. Your class is competing against other 9th grade classes!
Bring all your donations to your Friday 3rd period teacher (WIN time). Students in the winning class in each grade will get a tardy pass as a reward!
November is all about generosity. Let’s work together to help others stay warm this winter. Start collecting today and show how generous you can be!

This month, we’re celebrating the character trait of generosity! PJHS students always show incredible generosity, and we’re excited for the opportunities ahead to support them in their efforts. Stay tuned to see how our students make a difference!
