Second Grade Visit to M.D. Williams!
Second Grade will be making the first of four trips to M. D. Williams tomorrow morning, October 30, 8:15-9:30. We are following the Transition Program designed to ease their promotion to Third Grade.
Purpose of Transition Program: To minimize the transitional concerns of students, adults and teachers. The idea is that second grade students will be more comfortable with third grade expectations once they transition up. At the same time, third grade students will be interacting with familiar individuals from Alma and serving as student leaders for second grade students.
Transition Program Outline: The plan is to pair Second Grade classrooms with Third Grade classrooms for the 2018-2019 school year. Regularly scheduled visitations between rooms and teachers will occur throughout the school year in hopes of reducing stress and worry for upcoming students.
Goal: To share and display classroom activities, instruction, and expectations between Second Grade Teachers, Third Grade Teachers, Parents and Students.

Farmer Day in Preschool!! Homecoming Week at Alma is always funny.

Thanks to first grade for a great field trip today to Parker Pioneer. I was just informed that some parents only had to pay $5 for admission to the park. This of course would throw up a red flag since we requested $7 per student. I simply want to share with all our parents that we were quoted that cost per child and to our knowledge that is still what we are paying per student. That price was for admission and nothing more. I just don't want anyone to think that we are charging students more than the admission cost. Why parents were charged $5 and students $7, we do not know. Thank you for your time to read this clarification.
